This one skillet Creamy Sausage Pasta is an Italian-inspired dish that combines savory sausages with a rich, velvety sauce and perfectly cooked pasta.

Lately, I have been in a pasta frenzy but a bit burnt out on the regular Alfredo or spaghetti. This sausage pasta gave me just the pasta fix I needed with a flair from the mundane pasta I make.
Not to mention my family devoured it, so it obviously hit their taste buds.
This creamy one-pot sausage pasta is packed with juicy sausages, (I used some spicy but Italian sausage works too!), sautéed to perfection with some onions, bell peppers, and garlic. This also adds layers of flavors.
Then combined with a creamy, luscious sauce made from a harmonious blend of heavy cream, marinara sauce, garlic. The penne pasta is cooked al dente and all the ingredients are combined together for the most satisfying bite.
Garnished with fresh parsley and an extra sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese, Creamy Sausage Pasta offers a mouthwatering blend of comforting flavors that dance on your taste buds. It’s the perfect dish for those seeking a hearty, indulgent meal that’s both satisfying and comforting.

To get started on this weeknight-friendly dish, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- 1 lb Spicy or Italian Sausage
- 1 small yellow onion
- 1 green bell pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp
- 16 oz penne pasta
- 16 oz marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- Salt & pepper to taste

Prep: Boil a pot of salted water for pasta. Cut sausage into 1/2-inch slices. Then dice the onion, bell peppers, and garlic.
Cook: In a large skillet, heat 2 Tbsp of olive oil and cook your onions and bell peppers until soft and translucent. While vegetables are cooking add pasta into boiling water and cook as directed on package. Going back to the skillet add in garlic and sausage to be cooked.
Once the sausage is browned on the edges, remove it from the skillet and set aside all contents. Next, pour in marinara sauce and heavy cream. Blend sauce until it comes to a light boil and then sprinkle in parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste and then add back in sausage, onion, bell peppers, and drained pasta. Combine all ingredients.
Serve: Sprinkle additional parmesan cheese and garnish with parsley. Enjoy!

Directions
