Get Ready for Back To School

We are officially a few weeks out from school starting and I don’t know about y’all, but this mama cannot wait! Between hearing my name called 100x a day to playing referee to sibling arguments, this mama is literally counting down the days til school starts. But before I can celebrate school back in session, we have to start our school supplies prep. Oh, joy.

While summer is winding down and we start getting the kiddos back into a routine, I have started on my list of all the things the kids will need. As a serial procrastinator, it’s important for me to try and start back to school shopping as soon as possible. So I’ve been adding to my cart here and there for items I know the kids will need for school.

So far here are my Amazon go-to’s that are currently in my shopping cart:

Bento Box: Depending on my son’s mood for lunch, I may or may not pack his lunch, but when I do – I pack it in a bento box. I love that it comes with a fork and spoon and the different compartments to keep wet/dry food separate. Not to mention I don’t have to pack multiple Tupperware because it’s all-in-one.

Backpacks & Water Bottles: I’m not sure not what kids do all day at school with their backpacks, but the only thing I look for in a backpack is durability! I love the VASCHY backpacks because they are extremely durable, come in a ton of colors, and are waterproof for those random rainy days we get.

And with backpacks, we cannot forget the reusable water bottles the kids need nowadays. I typically go with the Bubba Flo water bottle which is just as durable as his backpack and will last the entire school year. Not to mention it comes with a clip so it can’t be lost.

School Supplies: I personally hate having to go buy a bunch of random school supplies, especially when I can buy them in a pack. So for the bulk of my supplies, I just order these little bundles (School Supplies pack) that come with just about everything. And if their teachers need something specific, that’s all I need to grab from the store.

School Signs: And last but certainly not least, we can’t start the school year without our back-to-school sign! I love taking yearly pictures for our memory book. One sign should last you multiple years if you’re good to it. But if you’re like me and lost it in your move, don’t forget to snag one up while shopping for school this year.

So mamas, let’s enjoy these last few weeks with all the kiddos at home and try not to rush our time left with them. This summer has been a long one but I’m sure we’ll miss the kids when they’re in school all day. Happy back-to-school shopping mamas!

XOXO – A Busy Mama
